Hearts of Glass, 2021-2022
We're sending out hearts of glass and steel internationally to artists and people who are interested. They do have an opening and are transparent, clear, and empty. The participants can do with and to them whatever they want, they can use it as an instrument or a vessel, they can film it, perform with it, take photos of it, or make poetry. They can even destroy it. Sole condition is that all actions are documented and uploaded here on this blog.
The project wants to make it possible for people to work together internationally on actual, tangible objects when borders are closed, and travel is difficult. It uses the cooperative potential of the world wide web to create multimedia artworks that show the diversity, beauty and ambiguity of human hearts and their hopes, dreams, and concerns from all over the world.
hearts of glass is initiated and implemented by Simone Fezer and Ele Runge. The blogsite is set up for a year, starting October 2020. After this the hearts will be shown in an exhibition, together with the documentation.
Herzen aus Glas und Stahl werden international an Künstler*innen und Interessierte versandt, farblos transparent, leer, mit Öffnung. Die Beteiligten können damit machen was ihnen am Herzen liegt, sie als Klangkörper oder Gefäß nutzen, filmen, performen, fotografieren oder verdichten bis hin zur Zerstörung. Einzige Bedingung ist, dass alle Aktionen dokumentiert und hier auf diesem Blog hochgeladen werden.
Das Projekt soll es Menschen ermöglichen gemeinsam an tatsächlichen Objekten zu arbeiten in einer Zeit in der grenzüberschreitende Begegnungen schwierig sind und darüber hinaus das kooperative Potenzial des Internets zu nutzen um multimediale Kunstwerke zu erarbeiten, die die Vielfalt, Schönheit und Ambiguität menschlicher Herzen und ihrer Anliegen weltweit zeigen.
Initiiert und umgesetzt wird Hearts of Glass von Simone Fezer und Ele Runge. Vorgesehen ist eine Laufzeit von einem Jahr ab Oktober 2020. Danach sollen die Herzen zusammen mit den Dokumentationen in einer Ausstellung gezeigt werden.
